This Internet site makes available black and white digital aerial photography, as well as other products, some as recent as 1996 and possibly later.

Cadastral or tax mapping is done in many North Carolina counties on detailed aerial photography (digital orthophotography). You can contact the county tax offices to determine available digital orthophotography. Increasingly this photography is only a few years old.

County land records or planning offices may carry 1"=400' scale aerial photography, sometimes in digital format.  This may be the most recent, and detailed aerial photography available.
